SyncMintLabs ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of merchants who use our Shopify applications and services, as well as the customers of those merchants. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and share your personal information when you install or use our Apps in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect from Merchants

When you install our Apps, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account pursuant to the permissions you grant during installation. This includes:

  • Merchant Information: Your store domain, email address, store location, and timezone to provide localized services.
  • Billing Information: App subscriptions and billing are securely handled through Shopify's Billing API. We do not process or store your credit card information.

2. Information We Collect from Customers

Depending on the specific App installed (e.g., VAT Tax Manager, Order Sync), we may process information about your customers ("Customer Information") via Shopify Webhooks to perform the App's core functionality. This may include:

  • Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, and shipping/billing addresses.
  • Order details, VAT/Tax identification numbers, and purchase history.
Note: We process Customer Information strictly as a Data Processor on behalf of you (the Merchant), who acts as the Data Controller.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide Services: To power the features of our Apps, such as validating VAT numbers, syncing orders, and automating workflows.
  • To Communicate: To send you technical alerts, updates, security notifications, and administrative support messages.
  • To Improve: To analyze app usage and continuously improve our infrastructure and performance.

4. Data Retention & Deletion (GDPR/CCPA Compliance)

We adhere strictly to Shopify's mandatory data privacy webhooks:

  • Customers/Redact: If a customer requests their data be deleted from your Shopify store, we automatically receive a webhook and permanently delete all associated PII within 48 hours.
  • Shop/Redact: If you uninstall our App, we will purge all Merchant and Customer data associated with your store from our active databases within 30 days.
  • Customers/Data_Request: If a customer requests a copy of their data, we will provide it to you so you can fulfill their request.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information to third parties. We only share information with third-party service providers (e.g., AWS, SendGrid) strictly necessary to host and operate our Apps. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data processing agreements.
